Day 60 Dancing Elmo and Some Leap Pad Books

I loved the Leap Pads and I’m sure that I still have a couple around but we always had a problem with them.  The books were never with the cartridges which were never with the Leap Pads.  I even had a few cool cases for the kids but for some reason, the parts were never together.

Things have been a little bit slow here in the picture department but I’m trying to keep up with it.  The stuff is coming out of the basement faster than I can count.  A lot has just been thrown away but that’s okay with me.  There’s still plenty left to count!  I was planning on having a free table last weekend but we got too busy with a marching band competition.  I’m hoping to do it this Saturday but we’ll see.  I’m not feeling so great tonight.

Day 59 Buckets of Little Toys

I have lots and lots of buckets of toys and I’m getting rid of a bunch of them.  This one was full of books, movies, doll clothes, and little tiny toys.  I have lots of random parts too.  The fact that I’m getting rid of any of these is amazing!  What’s even more amazing is this isn’t it.  Lots more to come!

Day 56 Fun Little Toys and Trinkets

Hmmm… this is more stuff that has been sorted and sorted and kept before.  It’s all so cute.  I can’t believe I’m letting it go.  This one might be tough but someone else will be able to love this stuff.  Look at that adorable teddy bear!  That little toy truck is really cool too because it talks and little people come in and out of it when you push different spots on it.

I love the little blue animal on the right.  So cute! And who doesn’t love Grover?  I’m surprised that my daughter doesn’t love that horse but apparently it’s a Braatz doll horse and that’s just not her thing.  The pumpkin art was another tough one to let go but I have a picture of it now so I’m getting rid of it.

That’s it for this batch!

Day 54 One Lonely Mitten and Some Old Wallpaper

I can’t believe how easy it’s getting to get rid of 18 things every day.  I remember when I started and it took me a couple hours to get to 18.  Now I usually end up with close to double that in less than a half hour.  Maybe it’s because I’ve been down in the basement the last few days.

Look at that cute mitten!  I love those mittens but I have no idea where the other one is.  The green thing in the middle is a cut out of one of my kids’ hands.  It made an antler for a reindeer decoration.  Thankfully, the diary doesn’t have anything written in it and I still have some of that old wallpaper hanging in my kitchen.  I guess we kept it in case we ever needed to replace any of it but now it’s so old that I would just get new stuff.

Day 51 Fun Things

The lone socks aren’t that much fun but most of the other stuff is.  I have cases for 2 Katamari games.  These were really fun games that I used to play all the time.  You’re a little guy who pushes around a sticky ball that picks everything up as it moves. You start out with little tiny things like paperclips, tacks, and pieces of gum.  The more you pick up, the bigger the ball gets. Eventually, as the levels progress, the ball gets big enough to pick up cows, horses, cars and buildings.  I think there’s even a level where you pick up stars and planets.  I have the game on my phone now so I don’t play these anymore.

Letting Go of More Toys

A few of the other things are the gang from the Clifford books, Mrs. ClausM & M, a Magic Treehouse book, and some little toy horses.  There is a lone glove too which also isn’t much fun.  That’s it for this batch of 18 things!

Bottlenecked in the House

I have stuff pulled out of everywhere right now.  My living room looks like a tornado went through it.  Thank goodness it didn’t.  My basement has bags and boxes waiting to come up.  My kitchen is still torn apart from the broken pipe.

Once everything is either put away or taken out of the house, I think it’s going to feel a lot less cluttered.  But right now, it’s hard to move around at all.  It’s more like an Olympic sport trying to climb over everything to get from room to room. Even finding a little spot to take my pics is getting hard.

I hope I can pull it all together once and for all! Soon!  Like, before Christmas.  I have a busy next couple of weeks though so it’s going to be hard but I’ll keep working away at it.  I’m glad it’s a short week at work.

Day 48 Waffle Blocks and Boots

I have a really hard time letting go of the kids’ toys but things are moving along fine.  My mindset is finally changing.  I can’t let in the new until I let go of some of the old.  I’m not going all Rambo and getting rid of all of them but there’s a lot that I’ve been hanging on to that I don’t need or necessarily want to keep anymore.  It’s all just taking up space.

Day 45 Hanging On To Kids Clothes

I’m not sure why sometimes 18 things seems like so many and sometimes it’s nothing but I’m always happy when they add up quickly.  I’d like to say that it’s always easier now but it’s not really.  Most of these clothes have survived multiple rounds of decluttering efforts and I’m finally getting rid of them.  They don’t fit anyone here.

Last time around, my daughter said she wanted the light pink gloves but it’s 2 winters later and she still hasn’t worn them once.  She doesn’t like pink.  So they’re finally going into the get rid of pile.

Those papers in the plastic bag are cake decorating instructions.  I’ve been using frosting tips since I was a little kid so why in the world would I keep that?  It came with a set that I bought so that’s probably why but I don’t need them.  Maybe someone else could use them.
