More Tupperware to Get Rid Of

Vintage TupperwareMore vintage Tupperware that needs to find a new home!  A few months ago, someone dropped off boxes of their old, unused Tupperware that they no longer wanted.  I got rid of the things that were kind of sticky and I kept a few of the nicer things that I thought I might use.  Well, it’s been on my front porch now for all those months and I haven’t used any of it.

If it’s not used within a certain amount of time, you should get rid of it.  I think that’s the conventional wisdom.  It might be a year but at this point in my decluttering, a few months is enough.  The next biggest thing is where to get rid of it.  It’s too cold to set up a free table.  There’s lots of “free” Facebook groups that I could put them on and also lots of for sale groups.  I could try eBay too.  A couple of apps have popped up too like LetGo and OfferUp. Has anyone tried either one of those apps?

The Easiest Solution For Getting Rid of Tupperware

I could just take it to the local donation place and be done with it.  It’ll be gone and I’ll never have to pick it up again.

Tons of Tupperware

TupperwareToo much Tupperware?  I think I made a mistake.  I thought I was helping some friends out by taking their excess Tupperware off their hands but when they said they had a lot to get rid of, I didn’t think they meant that they had 10 boxes full of it!

I love Tupperware.  I’m even a consultant.  Not a very good one – I haven’t had a party in over a year – but I still love it.  I figured I could take their  Tupperware and see if there was anything that I could use and then put the rest out on my free table. I knew that I would probably want a few things but I didn’t think it would be hard to give up the rest.  Well, unfortunately, I have found a bunch of things that I would like to keep.  There’s a lot of small microwavable containers that are great for taking lunches to work and a bunch of little Freezermates.

Vintage Tupperware is always fun to come across and there’s a few pieces in the boxes.  The beautiful autumn colored canister set is one thing that comes to mind. Can you picture it?  Goldenrod yellow, burnt orange, and avocado green.  I don’t plan to keep the set but I’m thinking a few things like that might go on eBay before I put them on the free table.  If they don’t sell, I’ll give them away.

The friends that I got all this from have some hoarding tendencies too so I was happy to help get it out of the their house.  I just hope that it doesn’t backfire on me and I’m able to get rid of most of it!  I’m starting to have quite a few people ask me to take stuff to put on the free table but I have to make sure that I don’t keep any of it!  I will make an exception for the Tupperware just because I use it so much for taking lunches to work but that’s it.  Nothing else can stay.

Do you love Tupperware?  Do you have too much of it?
