I can’t believe it’s December 1st already! How in the world did this happen? It’s so strange that I’ve been working from home for almost 10 months already. What’s even stranger is what a mess it is!
I have no idea how that happened either. I feel like I’m living in the Twilight Zone. I have one sick kiddo awaiting test results but it’s quite possible it’s just a cold or sinus issues. With all the dust in this house currently, it’s possible. I know, I’m just trying to stay positive here because she’s my asthmatic kiddo.
Originally, I was planning on having a nice Getting Ready for Christmas post all written up for today because I’m really trying to get this place updated and more helpful but it didn’t happen.
I went to the hoarder friend’s house on Saturday and helped her with a few things. There’s some good and some bad things going on there and I’m not really sure what to think. It’s like starting a project and then letting it take on a life of it’s own. You just don’t know what you’re going to get.
Then on Sunday, I decided that my house was looking almost as bad as the hoarder friend’s house so my house became the priority that day. So, that brings me to my tip for the day (which, I’m pretty sure, has been my tip for the last few weeks)…
TAKE IT DIRECTLY TO THE DONATION CENTER!
It really helps! It makes the impossible looking piles, look possible. If I can’t take it the same day that I bag it up, I at least put it in the car, so it’s all ready to go.
If you’re stuck, try it. Bust a pile down 3 things at a time. Get whatever you can out of the house that day. Do as much as you can, then stop. If you have to keep it, keep it. If there’s any chance you can let it go, then let it go.. right out to the car! Bye bye clutter!
