Who would’ve thought going to the pharmacy could feel so strange? Pulling into the parking lot was even a little weird. The last time I was at the clinic, there were very few people there including employees. This time, the whole parking lot was full. It was one of those, everything looks normal but I’m sure it’s not moments.
That feeling was correct because you don’t just walk into the clinic like in the “old days.” First of all, you can’t walk in the door without a mask. If you don’t have one, they give you one to put on and you can’t go any further without it.
Once you’re masked up, they take your temperature. They write it on a sticker along with your destination. It’s one of those name badge type stickers so everyone in the building can see if you have a fever or not. Thankfully I did not.
They ask if you have any symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat, the usual. If you don’t, they send you on your way. I didn’t get to see what they do if you say yes so I’m not sure. Everyone must’ve been there for other reasons today.
I saw a lot more people there than I was expecting. The fact that everyone was wearing masks made it just that much stranger. I have to say though, even in all that weirdness, that it was nice to walk into the pharmacy and be greeted with “Well, hi Jennifer! I can still tell that’s you under that mask!” coming from the pharmacist.
You ventured out! I’ve only been to the grocery. I was supposed to have my teeth cleaned yesterday and just couldn’t do it. It can wait.
I made it to Home Depot one day and as we’re standing there, a bunch of people came in and I panicked. I went and waited in the truck. Lol. Then I was going to go to a grocery store the other day and got all ready but decided I didn’t really need to go and everything I wanted could wait.
