There’s been no idle time at my house for years. I have no idea what idle means. But now, with nothing in the house, that’s all I have and I’m lost!
There’s a lot of things that I could, or should, be doing like:
- Unloading the dishwasher.
- Filling up boxes.
- Emptying the bathroom closet.
- Mopping the floors.
- Cutting the grass.
- Laundry.
- Taking the garbage out.
- Cleaning out the truck.
- Organizing my desk.
- Taking things to the donation center.
However, instead of doing any of that, I’m enjoying a little sunshine and all the little cardinals in my backyard today. It’s not easy though knowing that I should probably be getting something done. I actually set an alarm so that I didn’t go inside for at least 30 minutes.
It’s been a long time since I didn’t have a million things to do every day. I’ve lived so long feeling like I constantly have to be doing something that sitting still is hard. Apparently clutter does that to you.
A few other things that I’ve done with the freed up time and clutter free house is visiting with friends and family. My daughter has been able to come over a lot more with the baby now and I even had that little get together last week.
Doing nothing during this idle time feels pretty lazy right now but it won’t be here for long!! It’s time to just enjoy it and take a break from all the hustle and bustle. No worrying about stuff for a change!
Tomorrow I will get more done. I don’t have any plans for the day so I’ll probably end up cutting the grass, doing laundry and washing dishes. I’m okay with all of that because it won’t take long at all. I have an eBay sale to ship out and a few items to get ready for the VA.
I’m pretty sure that I can get used to this.
I truly believe you will get into a new routine and ENJOY IT!!
I’m so happy for you!! Having the baby over is the ultimate reward, right?? <3 And a get-together is always fun. Congrats on all your hard work!
Yep it sure is!! Watching her be able to run freely through the house is pretty amazing 😊
