We spent the weekend working on the garage clean out but never finished. There’s things all over the driveway yet. We decided to put shelves in because the whole garage was a giant pile almost up to the ceiling. Think Hoarders the TV show. That’s about what it was looking like.
I’m not so sure that I’m digging the shelving that we got though. I feel like we either need heavy duty storage shelving or we need to get rid of more things. There’s still way too much stuff that hasn’t been shelved and if I leave it that way, it’s only going to get worse and never better.

I’m not sure I like the shelving units turned this way. It’s okay but I think it would be easy to block the path with them like this.

I really like this heavy duty shelving unit much better than the smaller ones. This is the one that I’d like to get another of and put on the opposite wall. I’d probably be able to finish up the rest of the garage with another one of these.
It’s very solid with sturdy shelves. The shelving unit is deeper so there’s more room to put boxes without worrying about them spilling all over. They hold so much more.
If you buy the right storage bins, they fit perfectly on the shelves giving them a more organized look. We are finding the clear bins very helpful because we can see what’s in them without opening them all up. I wasn’t sure if I would like the clear look but it’s turning out to be very helpful!
One of these shelving units holds much more than the smaller units. They are more expensive but with the difference in what they hold, the difference is worth it in my opinion.
Shelving units are great in the garage because they help keep things off the floor and keep paths open. This garage clean out is almost complete!

Looks great! I’m with you on the placement of the shelves. I would be torn too! The positive is that you will need to make an effort not to block the area. Maybe that’s a good thing.
Wow! You made lots of progress! I like the second position, flat on the wall too. Did you wear a mask for your allergies? Hope you find it soon!
A mask would probably be a good idea lol! I didn’t even think of that!!! Duh! I guess I think Mask = Virus not allergies 🤣 Next time I’m in there I’ll put one on.
