Not Enough Time Even while under a Safer at Home Order

We will officially be under a “Safer at Home” order starting tomorrow. All non-essential businesses must close. But other than that, you can do what you want. They even told us to go for a bike ride. We’re in Wisconsin. It’s a little cold for bike riding.

Although, I have to say that today turned out to be a rather nice day. After waking up to an inch of snow this morning, the sun eventually peeked out and melted all of it! Yay! It felt warm even though it was only 44 degrees F. And those birds today, they warm my heart singing their beautiful songs.

I’m home 24/7 now but things still aren’t getting done. I’m working from home which takes up just as much time as it did when I went in. But I’m behind because it takes longer to do things here. I have a meeting tomorrow that’s stressing me out big time. It’s an hour and a half long. I hear that it’s kind of a pain trying to share screens while doing online meetings so it’s just stressful. Hopefully it’ll all turn out okay.

We’re kind of at a gridlock here at the house. With everything closed, there’s no place to go with donations. Without getting things out, there’s no room to move other things around. One of my kiddos was emptying the dishwasher today and was frustrated that we have more dishes than what fits in the cabinet. So, he took a bunch of bowls and put them up in the attic room with a bunch of cups we took out when they didn’t fit. Now the cabinet door closes again. But that’s how the whole house is.

Not sure why but I still can’t upload my pics. I used to be able to upload them. I’d love to show you my little patch of flowers that are coming up. They grew about another 2 inches today. Yay! I found an even bigger bunch as I was wandering around my yard trying to get some fresh spring air so I’ll be keeping an eye on those too!

  • I saw a post recently on facebook that reminded me of you. Mom had a gazillion socks all over the living room. Kids earned screen time for each pair they matched. Guess socks multiply at her house as well.

  • Yay flowers!! I’m just throwing my stuff away. Who knows how long it’ll be before this is over, and donation places will still be reluctant to take stuff then, I think. Just my opinion.
