Safer At Home Order Extended

Our “Safer at Home” order was set to expire here in Wisconsin on April 24th. I had a feeling, as I’m sure most people did, that it would get extended. Even with that expectation, I think the extent was something that took most people by surprise. The new expiration date is May 26th.

People are getting antsy. I’m not one of them. On most days, I’m content being at home. I have spent the last 20 years running around from place to place maybe staying home one night a week, if that. Music lessons, horse back riding lessons, concerts, soccer games, 4-H meetings, winter guard, color guard and marching band, competitions, cleaning the barn, craft nights… you name it, one of the kids did it. This is a rare treat for me. I get to stay home and work all day and then I’m just at home. Nice!

My house isn’t boring either. I keep trying to imagine what it would be like with a perfectly clean house and not all this fun stuff around. That would make it tough. I have 35 years of video games consoles, lots of video games, about 100 books to read, puzzles, board games, craft projects that never got started, recipes I want to try, 5 cats that could be taught some new tricks, and an entire room (or 3) that’s waiting to be organized.

Six more weeks of this? No problem!
