For the second night in a row, Petunia the Puppy barks and barks and barks when I put her in her crate for bed. Will we ever sleep again? I don’t know how long I can take this.
I was up almost all night with her last night. It got warm outside and so she thinks she’s hot in her crate and would rather sleep outside. I’m not going to let her sleep outside.
Wild animals are a big concern around here.
I’m pretty sure there’s some critters under the deck and they’d probably love to come out and play with her, germs and all.
It’s so annoying because I’m with her every second of every day and I need a break from her. The cats need a break from her.
They only get half the house when she’s awake and with this no sleeping kick that she’s on, they haven’t gotten their roaming time for the last two nights. They need that.
She has a terrible case of FOMO – Fear Of Missing Out. That’s the vibe she’s giving off. She lays under my feet while I work all day but every time I get up, she has to come along because she might be missing something you know.
Frustrating!
I don’t know how to get past this. Will it be one or a few nights of listening to her bark it out all night? Is this just a phase? Can I even stand listening to her bark for more than 5 minutes?
I need some sleep.
What’s the longest that a dog can bark? Can she bark all night? I’m sure the neighbors would love that. We’re far enough away that they might not hear her inside but anyone outside would hear her for sure.
Hopefully I don’t sound too grumpy. It’s the lack of sleep thing for sure!
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get her past this FOMO?
Our dog also has FOMO – unless it is cold outside. Then all she wants to do is find a warm spot on someone’s bed, curl up, and have JOMO!!
