I’m afraid things are about to get really bad with this new coronavirus. Hunkering down at home doesn’t seem too bad until you go to do something and realize you can’t. Or you don’t have an ingredient you need for a new dish you’d like to try. Or you realize you only have a few cans of cat food left to feed 5 cats for 2 weeks. We’ve had a few weeks to practice but practice time is coming to an end quickly.
The next few (or many?) weeks are going to be challenging but we’ll get through it. I just read that for the first time since it all began, China didn’t report any new cases yesterday. That gives me so much hope. I know it’s going to get a lot worse first but someday, it will pass. The stories of the scientific advances make me feel better too. And of course, survivor stories are so uplifting also.
Every day, the news is on all day long and I realized that I couldn’t listen anymore. It gets very depressing so I only let myself watch an hour or so of it everyday. I usually wait for the live broadcasts and then turn it off when they’re done. If you want to keep feeling informed but just a little bit, the Weather Channel is a good alternative. Weather is something that connects us all and they do mention it once in awhile. Interesting fact alert: They just said that this spring equinox is the earliest one in the last 124 years.
Enough babbling for now. As you can probably tell, I’m freaking out a little bit. I’m praying for my family, friends, and all of you! Take care and please don’t get sick. Happy Spring!!

We’ve decided to stop watching the news all the time too. It was messing with our minds!
Happy Spring and I hope we all will be able to protect each other and enjoy our days at the same time. Interesting times indeed.
Yeah, I couldn’t listen to the news all the time either. We don’t have broadcast TV, just google. I’m not panicked, just being cautious. Staying home, washing my hands. The girls can’t quite get it why they can’t go to the pool, or playgrounds. This too shall pass. We’ll keep checking in on one another.
I’m so glad you’re back to posting! I was wondering how you were.
Aww thanks!!! The last 2 years have been ridiculous so I’m not minding this slow down at all 😊 My son has a new girlfriend and his school changed to online classes and he had just gotten a private dorm room (because his roommate was horrible) so he’s the only one really struggling with all of this.
