A Little Uneasy About This Year

It’s only February but I’m feeling a little uneasy about the way this year is headed.

January was crazy and I have no idea how we’re already half way through February but everything seems to be a little strange.

Maybe it’s the “new normal”. I hate that term.

Or is it because of the dog that I’m so out of sorts all the time?

We got this great dog. She’s going to be an awesome dog someday but something about having an 85 lb puppy is just a bit much. The fact that I can’t walk her on a leash for more than 5 feet is really throwing me off. What dog doesn’t walk on a leash?

My eBay business was going great and then I got a day with almost 10 sales. I was really excited but then four things got returned from that day when I normally don’t get any returns. It just threw me off.

For the first time in a year and a half, my house is messy to the point where I’m having a hard time getting it back together. It’s mostly the kitchen but it’s still very frustrating and leaves me with that uneasy feeling. Why can’t I keep my kitchen clean?

Those are just the everyday things. There’s also all the extra things that need to be dealt with. The horse shelter fell down during a wind storm a few months ago. The sides are back up but there’s still no roof.

Which leads to the weather…. it’s winter but the weather has been crazy. Most winters are cold with some snow. Ok. This year, it’s been cold, warm, snowy, windy, icy, rainy, snowy, warm, icy, rainy, windy, cloudy, more snow, more rain, more ice, and never any sun.

Gates and barn doors keep freezing closed. Fences are falling down. The corral is mud one day and an ice skating rink the next. We need a few nice days to get the barn back together.

That other area that I talk about once in a while has been a struggle. I’ve been sick for weeks so I haven’t been working on it. So much stuff to be dealt with. That also makes me very uneasy. I need that area for an office because I need some place to go to get away from the cats while I’m trying to work. It’s one of those things that I know I need to be doing but I never get to.

Of course, boxes are taking up too much space too. We have boxes everywhere here. I have no idea why. It drives me crazy the way that they stack up and I don’t like throwing them away because I have to get the box cutter and cut them down. It’s just never an easy task.

And what’s with the cat that just climbed up on my hands while I’m trying to type?

I really need to pull it together here. LOL!
