Day Three Moving Right Along On the Clean Out

Were you able to keep working on the clean out today? Did you find 27 things? Is the get rid of pile getting pretty big yet?

If you’re working in a small area, it might be starting to get a little bit harder. Just keep pushing yourself. It will be worth it!

I got a late start today but I still found 27 things and it’s definitely getting harder for me! There’s some vintage-y clear glass dishes that I think are so pretty. I really want to keep them but they wouldn’t be used very often.

Compromising is one way to solve that dillemma.

When you come across multiple items like this, take the time to think about what you’ll realistically use in the future. If you need all of them because you don’t have any other ones and you have a place to store them, then keep them. But if you’re out of space, only keep one or two and find a place for them right away.

I'm not getting rid of this pretty dish in the clean out.

Remember, if you’re not using it, you’re only storing it. Do you have enough room for that?

Here’s what I got rid of today:

  • 8:00 a.m. – 3 Glasses
  • 9:00 a.m. – moldy sewing basket, plastic salad bowl, clear glass butter dish, 2 plastic pieces from one of the trucks, and a hanging tag from a pair of boots
  • 10:00 a.m. – Big Bubba water bottle, a towel, and a Sterilite repeatable container
  • 11:00 a.m. – Packing supplies – one sheet of bubble wrap, crumbled newspaper, and an envelope full of styrofoam popcorn
  • 12:00 p.m. – 3 Bracelets
  • 1:00 p.m. – Rubber band, cupcake divider and a list of placings
  • 2:00 p.m. – 3 plastic rings
  • 3:00 p.m. – 3 of the clear glass dishes

Next week is going to be warmer so I’ll be spending the next 4 days on the front porch clean out. Maybe two more days on one side and then the other two days on the other side? Then next week, I’ll have to finish the driveway. This will probably be the last of our nice days for a few months.
