It was early March and we were thinking about moving but hadn’t taken any of the next steps. “It isn’t a good time to move” was the reason most of the time.
We had gotten to know the neighbors better and were enjoying their company more often, the bills were all paid up and we had plenty of wiggle room if something would come up and we were very close to a big part of the family.
It seemed like a good time not to move.
So then why couldn’t we shake that itch? Why did we decide to look into moving further?
One of the biggest reasons was the horse. I pay a lot to board him which isn’t the problem since most of it goes to feed anyways, but I hardly ever get to see him. I’ve always dreamed of having a place where I could look out my windows and see my own horse or horses and it was time to do something about that dream.
The other big reason was for having family over. The house wasn’t set up very good for visiting with friends and family. It was comfortable for living our busy lives but not for sitting down for a good conversation. That needed to change but there was no way to change the layout of the house.
The lack of storage was also troubling. We were constantly looking for more space in the house.
Lastly, the iron and metal place down the road was causing a lot of trouble in the neighborhood. At least once a week, there would be huge explosions that shook the entire house. During the last 2 months, there’s been 4 major fires there too. It’s getting concerning.
With all that going on, I figured it couldn’t hurt to look around a bit.
I’m excited to see what happens!! Those fires, and explosions would scare me to death!
It’s terrifying!! I’ve heard that people living a little closer sometimes get chunks of metal flying into their yards when they have these explosions.
