The Mid 90s Are Exploding In My Living Room

It’s been six months since we moved in and I still can’t park in the garage. Too many boxes and bins of stuff. Most are full of things from the mid 90s.

Bringing along the clutter was a big mistake even though I got rid of a ton of it before we moved.

It definitely got easier getting rid of it but not as easy I thought. The last things I brought here ended up in the garage and these buckets were full of toys from the 1990s.

My three oldest kids were pretty little so I have all the popular toys from that time period. I didn’t get rid of much and it’s hard getting rid of it now.

But this time, after that awful move, I’m thinking of it a little differently. Those grownup kids aren’t going to play with them ever again. Yes, they’re having kids now that might play with them but there’s enough toys here for like a hundred kids.

If there’s too much for them to play with, then why am I keeping it?

The other reason that I was keeping things was because I thought they’d be worth money someday. Well, someday is here.

Now is the time to be selling the toys from the mid 90s.

Things from the 90s are selling pretty good on eBay right now. I keep seeing things sell that I know I have somewhere.

Am I keeping it just to leave in storage bins for the next 20 years? Asking myself that every time helps. Anything that’s worth more than a few dollars is going in the sell bucket.

Toys from the 90s

I’ve always loved Fisher Price toys and for some reason, the value on those are going down right now. But things like Power Rangers are hot right now. I’ve found a few of those already too.

Little shoes, clothes and rattle are hard to get rid of. I found a Millenium Furby that will be going on eBay soon. I know Disney VHS movies aren’t worth anything either but I just can’t get rid of them. There’s a few that are worth more than a few dollars but I’m sure mine aren’t any of those.

90s movies

And Beanie Babies. Need I say more? I’ve gotten rid of many duplicates but kept a few grungy ones. Why am I keeping them? Frustrating myself.

There’s an overwhelming amount of stuff in the living room right now but getting through it will be worth it!
