This page is for anyone that needs some extra motivation and help to declutter their home. Listed here are some of the most helpful resources around. These tools have become critical to my decluttering success and I couldn't have done it without them.  I will be adding to this list as I find more things that help me on this journey.  I'm starting with a few books and products and will hopefully add more soon!

Another genius battery operated tool - a fan!  This fan runs on battery so you don't need to reach an outlet.  You can haul it all over the house from room to room easily.  No wimpy airflow with this one!  I usually have it on low and still end up moving back a little because it's blowing so much air.  Plus, it runs for hours at a time before the battery needs to be recharged.  While we were working at the hoarder house, it was hot and humid outside so this fan was wonderful to have!

This light gives off enough light for an entire room.  While I'm using it right now to clean in unlit areas, I also keep it handy any time there's a storm in the area. I'm no longer worried about the power going out because I keep this light nearby.

This Milwaukee Tool "flashlight" turned out to be a very important tool for me.  There's no way that I could've finished unburying my friend's furnace for her if I didn't have it with me.  It provided so much light that I could easily see exactly what I was dealing with.  The overhead basement light was mostly blocked by all the clutter but I could move this one around as much as I needed.  I was able to use it for a few hours before I had to charge the battery.

Milwaukee Tools makes this wet/dry vacuum that turned out to be more useful than I ever could have imagined!!  One thing that I hadn't realized when I went to help my friend in her hoarder house was that I wouldn't be able to get to any outlets!  I literally couldn't physically reach them because of all the clutter in the rooms.  This vacuum was a lifesaver because it runs on a battery and I didn't need to reach the outlets!  Since it's meant for a garage or vehicle, it's heavy duty and vacuums up everything.  I used it on the sun room that I was working on  and it worked great!  I probably vacuumed for over a half hour and didn't have to charge it.  This is a great resource to have!

Of course, you need the batteries to run all of these products.  They work for a long time before they need a charge.

Gorilla Ladders are my new favorite brand of step stools.  This is a more compact version of the one that I have.  I use it all the time because I'm kind of short and it just makes life easier.  The good 'ole jump and try to knock it down trick doesn't always work but my step stools do! I have both the 2-step one and the 3-step one.
