Day Two Let’s Make It A Two-Fer Day

It's a two-fer day so get rid of two things instead of one!

Last night, someone texted me looking for a particular piece of Tupperware. I know that I have it but finding it is a whole different story. Looking through all the bags and boxes is overwhelming. Like panic attack overwhelming. That’s why today should be a two-fer day!

So, instead of 27 things today, I’m aiming for 54!

I hope you’ll join me today!! Some things are just more fun with friends!

Here’s some more suggestions:

  • One or two old flower pots
  • Junk mail (there’s always more)
  • Three pens that don’t work or you don’t enjoy writing with
  • An empty take out container
  • Window clings that don’t cling anymore
  • Gloves with holes in the fingers
  • That one pair of really worn out sandals
  • Votive candles that are all dusty
  • One book
  • USB cord for a phone you don’t have anymore

These are just some suggestions! Most of us have a plethora of items to choose from when decluttering. I sure do!

When you’re looking for things to get rid of, try to be realistic. I know it’s hard because I struggle with it too.

Here’s what I mean about being realistic

You can’t possibly hang up 453 pictures when you only have an 1,100 square foot house. There’s just not enough wall space. Sure you can switch them out but remember that they need to be stored when they’re not hanging up.

Pick the ones that you absolutely love. The ones that you know will look beautiful in that room. The ones that will shine in the sunny room or the ones that will bring out the pretty pinks in your comforter. Then let go of the rest.

You don’t have to keep the cross stitch ones that you don’t like just because someone else spent a long time working on it.

Join me on day two and instead of letting one go, let’s make it a two-fer day!
