All of the Waiting is Hard

Easter was right around the corner and took my mind off of the waiting.

When you’re waiting for an important decision to be made, the waiting is hard!

It was a good thing that I was crazy busy with work and family. Easter was right around the corner too. As usual, the baskets were buried somewhere in the mess so I would spend some time looking for those.

I tried not to think about the house and the decision that would be made shortly. We’ve lived in our house for 23 years and moving seems pretty scary. Yes, I would welcome the change but it’s still a hard thing to do.

Many things were going through my mind at this point:

  • If they accepted our offer, would we be able to sell our house fast enough?
  • How would we get our house ready in time to sell it before our close date?
  • Where was everything going to go?
  • Would I ever get used to the long drive to my mom’s house? Or my daughter’s house?
  • Can I afford the gas to get to work when we resume normal working from the office?
  • If we end up hating it, how long would we have to live there before we could re-sell it?
  • What if the cats hate it?
  • What are we going to find that needs to be fixed in our house?
  • Is anyone going to buy our house? I love our house.
  • How many boxes will it take to move?
  • Will we be able to afford a moving truck?
  • How do you even begin to move all this stuff?
  • Why do we have so much stuff in the first place?
  • Should we have a rummage sale?
  • Do we need a dumpster?
  • What is going on with this construction in front of the house?

Waiting is hard!

Thankfully, we wouldn’t have to wait too long though!

Every second is like TICK TOCK TICK TOCK when you’re waiting.
