When the New Cleaning Lady Won’t Clean

How embarrassing is it when the new cleaning lady won’t clean and everyone thinks it’s funny?

Ok, maybe it is a little funny once the embarrassment has subsided.

Has this ever happened to you?

It really happened to me today.

There are amazing things going on at my house right now that I will share soon but I had to share this story today.

I wanted to let anyone who has ever had this happen to them know that they’re not alone.

The new cleaning lady came in this morning. She looked around the kitchen, told me that my house was well loved and it would be impossible to clean it. And she left. Walked right out the door.

I had hired this cleaning lady to simply wipe down my kitchen appliances, counters, kitchen walls, and mop the floor. It was a one time deal.

Before you assume that I must’ve had too many things around my kitchen and she didn’t want to deal with clutter, let me show you a picture of what my kitchen looked like when she got here:

And the stuff on the right of the sink in the picture wasn’t even there when she came!

A week ago, yes, I could see someone saying it was impossible to clean this kitchen but today, absolutely not. I have been busting my behind to get it done.

What was wrong with this cleaning lady?

So what was her problem? Did she not want to get her hands wet?

What kind of cleaning lady couldn’t clean this? Not a very good one I guess! I’m still kind of blown away by this.

Is saying “I’m a cleaning lady” just a nice way to say “I don’t want to work but if you pay me $15 an hour, you can have the privilege of saying that you have a cleaning lady”? It must be, right?!?

The only other thing she said was that the dirt was ground in and would never come out. Well, if anyone ever tells you that, just know that they are most likely wrong and it’s fine to find someone else. It’s not about you, it’s about them.
