The Call We Were Waiting For About the Offer

While it was exciting waiting for news about the offer we had put in on the estate sale property, it was also very stressful.

You know how sometimes you have a feeling about something? Well, I felt like we weren’t going to get it because there were other offers submitted at the same time. But we didn’t know what those other offers were so there was still a chance.

I just wasn’t feeling it.

The house was so far away from the location we were looking in that I decided that I wouldn’t be upset if it was a no. And not everyone in the family was on board with moving yet anyways.

There was so much packing that we needed to do and things to fix that it would be a nightmare if they accepted our offer.

Thankfully, we would only need to wait a few days. We had put our offer in on Saturday and they had to let us know by Monday. It was something along the lines of them getting all the offers on Sunday and then they had 24 hours to respond.

And then the call came in about the offer we submitted.

They did NOT accept our offer.

I was disappointed but now I wouldn’t have to think about that long drive anymore. I’d still only be 10 minutes away from my daughter’s and my mom’s houses. It was okay.

The right house was out there somewhere and everything happens for a reason, right?

Now I didn’t have to tell my neighbors I was moving and my horse could stay where he was. The packing could resume at a normal speed and we’d have more time to fix some things around the house.

The decision had been made by the seller and everything could return to normal now.

Unfortunately, that didn’t last long!
