This bathroom has been tricky to paint. I’m not a huge fan of blue walls but this color really went well with the new flooring. Since it’s blue, I went with the lightest shade but it’s so light, I can hardly see the color. So why even bother painting the bathroom?
I used a white primer on the walls first. I opened up the blue which looked light blue in the can but when I started putting it on the walls, I couldn’t see where I had already painted. That makes it really hard to make sure everything is covered.
Once I had the first coat on, I decided to let it dry overnight and I was hoping it would darken up a little bit but nope. I can still hardly see it. Even in my picture it looks white to me. Since the lights are off the wall right now, I’m using LED lights to light up the room. I’m wondering if that has something to do with it.
It doesn’t feel like this bathroom remodel is going very smooth. It’s a tiny bathroom but there’s a lot to do in there yet. It’s still going to take a few more trips back to the store to get everything we need. I like the vanity that I got but the sink doesn’t match at all. One of my college kiddos went with me to pick them out. He’s the most impatient shopper ever and the sink was the only one they had that was the right size. It’s so frustrating shopping with him that I just said okay so we could get out of there!
Painting the bathroom was difficult but it looks great. Next will be the vanity.
You may not see it but I bet there is a slight blue tint. We did a room in a subtle gray tint. You couldn’t tell until I changed the bulbs and then it looked too dark! If you use blue in your accessories, it will be perfect!
Yep you can definitely tell it’s blue now!! I have 3 more tiny things to do and then I’ll post the pics!
