Easy Peasy Decluttering On the Porch Today

These storage bins should be easy peasy to straighten up. There's a few things that can be gotten rid of.

Just like when you need to lose weight, the first few days don’t seem too challenging. But once you get past the first few pounds that seem to come off in that easy peasy way, it gets much harder.

I’m pretty sure that’s how my week is going to go.

The junk mail was obviously a no brainer. Lots of it around. Easy to toss. Most of the coupons expired already. Piece of cake!

The next least challenging box of things I found was full of stuff out of the camper. Since I know that it’s stuff that was there from 2014 when I camped at the Midwest Horse Fair, I knew it would all be easy to get rid of.

Lastly, I have a bin full of games that are listed on eBay right now. They’re really nice games but they’re also very heavy so I haven’t had much luck selling them due to the cost of shipping. Plus, they’re taking up too much space. Easy peasy!!

Here’s how the day went:

6:00 a.m. – 3 pieces of mail

7:00 am. – 3 pieces of mail

8:00 a.m. – 6 pieces of mail. By now, I felt like I was cheating only doing 3 pieces of mails so I switched it up to 6.

9:00 a.m. – 3 styrofoam coolers. If I forget to leave out my Oberweis cooler, they leave these styrofoam ones.

10:00 a.m. – 6 pieces of mail

11:00 a.m. – Pictionary and a German language DVD tutorial, and a German calendar with a different word on each page. It’s a really neat calendar but apparently no one wants it.

12:00 p.m. – Apples to Apples in a wooden box, Guesstures, and a travel size deodorant

1:00 p.m. – Another travel size deodorant, hotel shampoo, and a plastic bottle cooler cover from the Midwest Horse Fair

2:00 p.m. – 1 piece of mail, a piece of plastic wrap, and a travel size toothpaste and toothbrush set

3:00 p.m. – 2 USB cords, another travel toothbrush, 2 wrappers and a napkin

That’s a total of 39 things today!

Maybe I shouldn’t have done all those extras so that tomorrow could be easy peasy too!

I have to admit, I’m a little worried about it. But now when I look at the porch through the cameras, I see there’s still way too much stuff out there so maybe it won’t be too bad. At least the next day or two anyways.

By the way, if you get stuck too, try taking a few pics of the area you’re working on. That usually helps me a lot.
