Last night, I was thinking about the weekend plans for cleaning out a hoarded basement. I was thinking about how we really need some bins so we can move things around in our attempt to make a path.
I don’t mind spending some money to help this friend but I was worrying about how much it would add up to if I bought a bunch. That’s not something that’s in my budget right now but I know it will make things much easier. Would it be worth it to spend the money? I said a little prayer about it and went to bed.
Little did I know that my prayers would be answered the next day! I took a trailer full of junk from my yard to the city dump, or Drop Off Center as they like to be called, and our very last stop was the cardboard dumpsters. As we were standing by the trailer, I noticed a man putting the big bins into the dumpster. I asked if we could have them and he said yes! Then he said that I could take the ones next to the dumpster too! So they were FREE!!!
They have a section where you can put re-usable things for other people to take so I’m not sure why these were being thrown in the dumpster. It doesn’t matter I guess. I’m just happy that I got them for free!
It’s always great to run up on a freebie. Especially when it helps with another project and saves money!
