They Really Were Throwing Things Away!

Could it really be? Do I dare believe it? The kiddos were actually throwing things away!

My plan this week was to clean a different small area in a different room each day this week. I ended up in the hallway and decided that’s where I need to do some work.

There was a huge mound upstairs and eventually I realized that the kids had been throwing things out of their bedrooms. I’m not sure who they thought was going to clean it up from there but anyways, it was out of their bedrooms.

I’m a tad bit obsessed with decluttering these days because my house has been overrun with stuff but even with all the talk of decluttering, I didn’t think they were even listening at all.

This is the point I want to make today. Keep talking, the kiddos are really listening!

My teen with the hoarding tendencies is the one who got rid of the most! When I brought the stuff downstairs and then asked her to go through it, she said that it’s the stuff that she keeps getting rid of that I keep giving back to her! Oops!

Well, this time, we’re throwing things away!

Or, of course, donating the things that are still in good condition.

No matter how we get rid of them, they aren’t coming back in this house! They’re going out for good.

The pile in the middle of the living room is growing every day! I can’t wait until the end of the weekend when I’ll be taking plenty of pictures of it for you! I mean, it’s not really that huge but it’s a pretty good size.

Today was mostly clothes that we were getting rid of so I don’t have good before and after pics again. I’ll definitely take some tomorrow before I do anything.
